Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 1, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of https://www.copperton.com (the “Site”) and to the electrical services provided by Copperton, LLC (“Copperton,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site or hiring us for work, you agree to these Terms. If a written estimate, proposal, or contract for your project includes different terms, that document controls for that project.

Use of this website

The information on this Site is for general informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for an in-person evaluation by a licensed electrician. Electrical work can be dangerous, so please do not attempt repairs based on information found on this Site.

We work to keep the Site accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that all content, pricing, promotions, or service descriptions are complete or current. We may change or remove content at any time without notice.

Estimates and quotes

  • Estimates are based on the information available and the conditions visible at the time of the estimate.
  • Written estimates are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
  • Hidden or unforeseen conditions, such as damaged wiring behind walls, code violations from previous work, or utility requirements, may require additional work. We will explain any changes and get your approval before proceeding with work outside the original scope.
  • Online promotions and coupons must be mentioned when scheduling, cannot be combined unless stated, and may have expiration dates or other restrictions.

Scheduling and cancellations

We do our best to arrive within the scheduled time window, but weather, emergencies, and job conditions can cause delays. We will let you know as soon as possible if we are running late.

Cancellations. You may cancel a signed contract at no cost within 24 hours of signing. After that, a cancellation may be charged only for costs we have already incurred, such as permit fees, special-order materials, and restocking fees.

Rescheduling. If you need to reschedule, please let us know at least 48 hours before your scheduled installation date.

Service call fee. A $50 service call fee may apply to service visits. This fee is applied toward the cost of any work we perform.

Payment

  • Larger projects, such as panel upgrades and generator installations, require a 50% deposit at contract signing, with the remaining 50% due upon completion of the installation, unless otherwise stated.
  • For all other work, payment is due upon receipt of your invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • We accept credit and debit cards, checks, cash, ACH bank transfers, and financing.
  • Financing, when available, is subject to approval and the terms of the financing provider.
  • Payments not received within 24 hours of the invoice may be subject to a 5% late fee, unless other terms have been agreed in writing (for example, for commercial billing). Balances unpaid after 7 days may accrue interest at 1.5% per month.

Permits, inspections, and code compliance

All work is performed to meet applicable electrical codes. When a permit is required, we will pull the permit and coordinate inspections with the local authority. Permit and inspection fees are quoted separately from the cost of the work. Any utility fees will be identified before work begins. Project timelines may depend on inspection availability and utility scheduling, which are outside our control.

Your responsibilities

To help us complete your project safely and on schedule, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your property and the work needed
  • Provide safe and clear access to the work area, electrical panel, and any required areas
  • Secure pets and keep children away from the work area
  • Obtain any required approvals from your HOA, landlord, or property owner
  • Let us know about any known hazards or previous electrical problems

Customer-supplied materials

If you supply your own fixtures, devices, chargers, or equipment, we will install them as requested, but we do not warranty customer-supplied materials. If a customer-supplied item fails or is defective, additional labor to remove, return, or replace it will be billed separately.

Warranty

Workmanship. Copperton warrants its workmanship for one (1) year from the date the work is completed. If a problem caused by our workmanship occurs during this period, we will correct it at no charge for labor.

Parts and equipment. Parts, fixtures, and equipment are covered by their manufacturer’s warranty. We will help you with manufacturer warranty claims where possible, and for one (1) year from the date the work is completed, we cover the labor to replace parts that fail under the manufacturer’s warranty.

What the warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, or normal wear and tear
  • Work that has been altered or repaired by anyone other than Copperton
  • Damage from power surges, lightning, flooding, fire, or other acts of nature
  • Customer-supplied materials
  • Pre-existing conditions outside the scope of the work we performed

Money-back guarantee

We stand behind our work. If you are not satisfied with the service you received, we want the chance to make it right. Our money-back guarantee works as follows:

  • Contact us within 30 days of the completion of your service and let us know what went wrong.
  • We will first make every reasonable attempt to resolve your concern, including returning to correct the issue at no additional charge.
  • If we are unable to resolve the issue to your reasonable satisfaction, we will refund the labor portion of the charges for the service in question.
  • The guarantee does not cover parts, materials, fixtures, or equipment; permit, inspection, or utility fees; customer-supplied materials; credit card processing fees; or interest paid on financing.
  • The guarantee applies to invoices that have been paid in full and does not apply to work that has been altered by others after completion.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Copperton is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use, lost profits, or spoiled food, arising from our services, power interruptions during work, or use of this Site. Our total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service.

Copperton is not responsible for pre-existing conditions, hidden defects in existing wiring or equipment, or issues caused by the utility company.

The Site may display customer reviews and links to other websites, such as review platforms, social media, equipment manufacturers, or financing providers. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party websites.
